Halloween 2015

First, some pictures from Trinity's Halloween party.  We had a blast...playing games, eating chilli, listening to stories, making crafts, and carving our pumpkins.  Lots of fun with friends.

On Thursday, John and I went trick-or-treating through the library.  Bittersweet because it was John and Ms. Val's last time for this fun event.  We sure will miss her!!!

Friday morning brought the annual Lower School Halloween parade!  Good times for my little army men.

And then off to John's class Halloween party!

We finished the night off with our annual Halloween party in the neighborhood and then trick-or-treating through the neighborhood for the three youngest.  Philip and I hung out at home...handing out candy and watching the SPS vs. UMS game on TV!

October In One Post

Oh, this blogging thing.  I get so behind and then catching up is so hard!  Going to have to give you a recap of October in just one post!!  Forgive me!

First, this guy turned 40!!!  He makes 40 look good.  Healthier and stronger (and maybe more intense) than his 30 year old self.  Love him more than he knows!!

Fall makes us all long for a trip to the hunting camp.  We spent a Friday night/Saturday morning up there getting a little work done for the start of the season.  The boys love their time outdoors as much as we do!  I am afraid that our little two bedroom house on wheels will always be our family's "special place."

This kids makes Farm Day look stylish.  Seriously...the cutest farmer ever.  The class sheet suggests painting freckles on the kids face..no need for him!!

Still enjoying long days at home with my baby...

I had my 20 year reunion.  Didn't take a single picture there but my favorite part was having friends come over to visit.  The Springfield crew watched football during the day with us and Barcley and Adam came by for a drink before the event.  Good times!

Picture day at PK3.  I picked out a cute smocked shirt.  He wasn't having it.  Still pretty cute in his big boy clothes!

Westminster had their annual Fall Festival.  I took the boys while Chris made it home from a deep sea fishing trip.  We had a great time playing carnival games, eating pizza, and going on hay rides!

St. Paul's homecoming brought these three cuties in matching t-shirts...

and a chance to see an old friend win the Distinguished Alumni Award for the Fine Arts.  Fun evening with Zoe!

Other than Halloween (and that's a post in of itself)...I think that covers our October!

This Kid

Right here...

 First, he turned 9...and I completely forgot to share that with you!

He had a few friends over to play, have dinner, and go to the St. Paul's game.

Seriously, all three could be in his wedding 20 years from now and I would be pleased.

This kid knows how to pick good friends!

Family came over on Saturday to celebrate his nine years of fabulousness.

We enjoyed burgers and cake.

And then lots of cornhole and football!

Sweet Philip, there are no words for how proud I am of you.  You are smart, kind, and methodical.  Just like your father you lay out your clothes each night before going to bed.  You are the only person in our house that makes his bed immediately after rising.  Your ability to get your work done first before play is impressive!

You continue to handle your Perthes with stoicism...never complaining...always focusing on the positive.  Our last trip to Atlanta brought the frustrating news that your bone is still yet to begin growing.  It will...just in God's time.  You chose to look for the good...more trips to Aunt Elizabeth's!
