First Days!

Summer flew by and now it's back to school time!  These three were ready to head off to SPS.  Can you see the excitement in sweet William's eyes?

Can you see the hesitation in sweet Philip's eyes?  This kid does not like crutches and wasn't thrilled to be doing the first day of school on a brand new campus with them.  His brace had to be shipped to Atlanta for repairs and didn't make it back in time for day 1.  It arrived that afternoon and his response was, "I never thought I'd be so happy to see my brace again!"  No worries...he did great on those crutches!

Three in uniform...how can that be??

Having never done both campus' carpools, Chris and I decided to split up on the first day.  I walked Philip in and he took Daniel and William to the lower school.  William did great....as expected.  Did I mention that he has Philip and Daniel's awesome Kindergarten teacher??  Even sits in the desk that they also sat in!  Daniel had a moment of pause, but with a little help ventured off to 2nd grade!  I was sad not to walk William into his first day but I'm afraid I would have cried.  Where has the time gone??

Everyone came home with a good report.  Philip even crutched through the main campus tour!  Such a trooper!  I feel like we won the teacher lottery all around and know that this year is going to be great!

JohnJohn and I had two days to enjoy time together and then on Friday he was off to PK3.  Again, we love his teacher.  She took William in after the tornado closed Trinity's doors and they were a great match!  There were a few tears (shed by both of us).

Don't judge the outfit.  I had a cute smocked shirt ironed and ready.  He demanded the white polo shirt (flashbacks to Daniel!) and red shorts.  Deciding his comfort was more important, I conceded!

I'm happy to have a little time to get things done, but boy do I miss those boys when they are gone!
