Fun, Busy Weekend

A few shots from our busy weekend!  Friday night was quiet with a yummy dinner at home.  We started out early Saturday morning to meet a group from the church at the Exploreum to watch the Jerusalem IMAX.  Unfortunately, the IMAX was broken but we enjoyed lunch with this crew.

After lunch, we headed to Uncle Cameron and Aunt Heather's house.  They are expecting their first baby in February and we were excited to find out the baby is a girl!!  A first in this family for quite some time!!  My boys were of course more interested in college football...

Dee is excited to have a girl, but I think she's quite fond of these guys too!

Chris and I went to a wedding Saturday night and then church bright and early Sunday.  Have I shared how much I love my Sunday school group this year??  So many new faces...and such great numbers...makes this catechist happy!  Here they are in the sanctuary after doing a work on the History of the Kingdom of God!

We ended the weekend with a community picnic at the church.  A jumpy, snowcones, cotton candy, and Dew Drop hotdogs.  What more could this crew ask for??  (Other than an upset stomach at bedtime!)

Needless to say, this guy and I were happy to have some quiet Monday morning!!

Earlier Risers

When I returned from an early morning run, three of my four were awake and sitting at the island.  All four were up by 6:00am.  We don't leave for school until 7:15, so what to do??

Head outside, of course...

and play more football!!

Sorry for the grass stains on the uniform pants, teachers.  I promise they were clean when they put them on!!

School Life

Had to share a few pictures from the start of school.  All seem to be having a great year...great teachers and sweet friends.

Daniel sang on the red steps today for the first time as a 2nd grader.  I love this special church service!

Philip has already been on two field trips and has another one next week!  Here's a picture of his trip to the University of South Alabama to learn about podcasting!!

Sweet William is rocking Kindergarten.  I sent him off knowing he was "ready" to read.  They sent him back with level B books telling me he is already reading.  Who knew??

Boys of Fall

Labor Day weekend brought the first Alabama game and lots of backyard football for this crazy crowd!

We have a slight obsession (still) with football.  It's fun to watch Philip and Daniel play because they can truly throw and catch with each other.  Philip probably does more than his doctor would like.  Daniel confessed the other day that he can't wait for Philip's brace to come off so they can tackle each other.  Maybe that brace is a good thing....

Where Did August Go?

We had lots of good times with cousins...

We spent a Saturday helping get the church ready for reopening...

and finally we are back worshipping at the church!!

A trip to the hunting camp does us all a little good...
