The Festivities

Friday night we had all the family over to celebrate Philip's #8!  All the usual suspects attended.  Philip had told Chris and me that he wanted steak for dinner.  We replied that that was a little pricey, but I found a deal at Sam's!  We had a great time celebrating a special little boy.

The gifts were the usual suspects...Legos and books.  He really told me that he wanted lots of books.  Perhaps the best gift came from Dee...amazon.com deliveries of books for the next months ahead!

Saturday night we opted for a low-key birthday party with friends.  Philip chose three buddies to come over to play and have dinner.  Again, he chose a delicious menu of ribs, baked beans, and fruit.  I loved watching him and his friends have a good time!
