A Sneak Peak

I was determined today to get the ever-dreaded Christmas card picture taken.  The boys were not thrilled to be putting on church clothes on their day off, but they did enjoy a hike through the woods at the Mobile Botanical Gardens.  84 pictures...and I still didn't have one that I absolutely loved.  Oh well...got one that will work.  Here's a sneak peak at some of the best shots!

Thankful

Before I venture into all the school Thanksgiving pics, here's one shot from Youth Hunt Weekend.  All six of us went to the camp for the weekend.  It was pretty cold, so we never actually hunted.  The boys did enjoy several hours in the woods with Dad and Uncle Cameron while Mom held down the couch with her book.  I packed the camera for this trip, but only took one shot.  These two dressing the part...

We returned from the camp well rested and ready for the week ahead.  John had his Thanksgiving Pow-Wow.  I "borrowed" this picture from Facebook since they encouraged parents not to attend this event!

I then had to shoot one of him in the parking lot after school because he was pretty cute dressed up as the "Jolly Jaguar," pronounced "Jolly Jag-u-wire" in three year old ease.

Friday also brought the "Landing of the Mayflower" at St. Paul's.  William made a pretty cute pilgrim.  

I loved watching him interact with his big brother.  Typically, conversation is a little hard to come by between a five year old and a 17 year old.  Not with William in control....

And now school is out for a week!  We couldn't be happier...a break feels so good.  It's opening weekend, so Chris and Philip are enjoying a weekend alone at the camp.

The Battleship

It seemed every trip across the bay this past summer led to the inevitable question..."when can we go back to the Battleship?"

Recalling sweltering trips to the Battleship when Chris and I were young, we always replied, "when it gets cooler."  With a Saturday wide open, we decided to take the boys back to visit.  (I say back...we went in April 2011 right before John was born!...read about it here.)  Little did we know, it would be just cooler but incredibly cold and windy.  Oh well, we kept our promise and had a great time despite the weather.

I seriously want this for our house!!!

The Battleship is one of those tourist attractions that you forget about when you live in Mobile.  It is truly a neat visit for little boys!!  We can do it over and over again and it doesn't seem to get old.  

Halloween 2015

First, some pictures from Trinity's Halloween party.  We had a blast...playing games, eating chilli, listening to stories, making crafts, and carving our pumpkins.  Lots of fun with friends.

On Thursday, John and I went trick-or-treating through the library.  Bittersweet because it was John and Ms. Val's last time for this fun event.  We sure will miss her!!!

Friday morning brought the annual Lower School Halloween parade!  Good times for my little army men.

And then off to John's class Halloween party!

Finally off to trick-or-treat.  First stop...Dee's house!

We finished the night off with our annual Halloween party in the neighborhood and then trick-or-treating through the neighborhood for the three youngest.  Philip and I hung out at home...handing out candy and watching the SPS vs. UMS game on TV!
