North Pole Stroll

Last night brought the annual trip downtown for Mobile's North Pole Stroll.  Some of us dressed in Christmas finery...others protested.

After a quick chili dinner at home, we all headed downtown.  Our first stop was to see the snow at the Battle House Hotel... 



Sorry, boys, but it's about as close to the real thing as you're gonna see in Mobile!

We headed straight to see Santa.  Thankfully, the line was not too long.  The cookies and hot chocolate helped the little people wait in line!!






Finally, we made it to Santa.  Philip and Daniel were thrilled to talk to him.  William, not so much...

After a stroll through "Whoville," we headed to the Museum of Mobile to write our letters to Santa.

There were more things to do but the biggest boy (Chris) was tired and ready to go home.  So we completed our trip full circle with some stories read at the Battle House by our beloved, Ms. Val!  She was thrilled to see Philip and Daniel since they can't go to storytime anymore!



I think the North Pole Stroll got us all in the Christmas spirit!  A fun night, indeed!
