An Epiphany

This morning we headed out early.  Somehow we were out the door shortly after 8:00.  First stop was for me to vote.  With that out of the way, we arrived 10 minutes early for an orthotics appointment.  Philip's brace had suffered five months of wear and tear by an active little boy and it desperately needed some TLC.

With all of that out of the way...we went bowling!  A first...other than maybe a birthday party a time or two.  We had a "kids bowl free" coupon (which as to be expected wasn't really free...ended up spending almost $25 on shoe rentals!) and decided to try it out.  Philip and Daniel really enjoyed it.

William and John wore out on the actual bowling, but they watched (the bowling and the other people) happily!

After two rounds, we all went to lunch.

And that's where the epiphany occurred.  I no longer have a toddler.

For the most part, the food is served and we all eat and enjoy each other's company.  The boys were so well behaved and I was truly able to sit and listen to them talk.  We're growing up, friends, and I really like it!
