The couch was covered in dog hair...the big boys fussed over having to wear a collared shirt...the apple pie was slightly overcooked...William got his smocked turkeys wet before anyone saw him in them...the silver wasn't quite polished...Dottie took a fall the night before and was still quite uncomfortable...John (the only one who wore what I wanted) slept through the whole feast...and on and on...
BUT...
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
His love endures forever.
-Psalm 107:1
Our Thanksgiving was perfect! It was a wonderful lunch with my parents, Chris' mom, Susan and Rob, and Elizabeth. The food was delicious...everyone helped. It was relaxed, comfortable, and yummy!
The only picture I took from the day was this one of Elizabeth and some of the boys.
Aunt Elizabeth was definitely the highlight of the holiday. The boys adore her...she took them to get ice cream at Old Dutch, played Legos, and took them for walks in the park with her dogs. What more could a boy want?? Thanksgiving night Philip told me that his favorite part of the day was being with Aunt Elizabeth! Thanks Elizabeth for giving them your time and attention...they noticed!
Friday morning we headed up to the hunting camp for the weekend. Again, not too many pictures, but we had a great time. Chris took William out for his first "hunt." He loved sitting in the tree stand!
We are refreshed and ready for the next holiday season! Hope you and yours had a great one, too!
